Alright people listen up – the Bandit leader Mason the Metal who has been harassing Barrowmaze delvers with his band of paper bandits is dead. We returned to the barrows looking to retrieve some fallen adventurers when we ran into this retch and fought it out in the tunnels near the entrance of Barrow 12.
While his minions scattered like dry leaves in the wind Mason himself was a tough nut to crack. He thought he had the drop on me and the Tortletoni’s but we out flanked that scoundrel and bashed his brains in. Literally. I destroyed his face with my quarterstaff and got brain chunks all over Vikki. We don’t know how many other adventures have been preyed upon by this bandit but know this – his days of highway robbery are over.
Our outing didn’t end there though – we came across some clerics of… whoever… wearing yellow tabards. They were members of the party that didn’t make it out of the Barrows in time before nightfall. At first it seemed lucky that they had survived their ordeal but we quickly discovered that was not the case. They didn’t survive and were raised as undead. Thankfully June caught on to their disguise and attacked. They then revealed their true nature as undead. They were fast moving, long poisonous claws, and if you try to turn them and fail they will come for you ignoring everything else. Watch out for these things, we were able to drop two of them but we barely escaped with our lives.
